Our client a well known cannabis media agency located in Denver, CO is currently seeking a REMOTE Publicist with at least 3 years of experience (agency experience preferred) to join its 26-person Clio Award-Winning team to service clients in the agency's cannabis practice, where you will work among the U.S.'s fastest-growing industry.

The ideal Publicist candidate is a forward-thinking, strategy-first PR professional who is an expertise at telling meaningful stories and delivering measurable results for clients, has superior written and oral communication skills, excels at building and nurturing relationships, thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment where trying new things and thinking outside of the box.

Duties:

• Support on creating and executing forward-thinking media relations strategies.
• Proactively pitching and obtaining top-tier exposure with business, consumer and trade media outlets.
• Maintaining relationships with key members of the media on various beats.
• Ideating and driving newsworthy story ideas / pitch angles.
• Attention to the news cycle for pitching clients on key issues in a timely manner.
• Writing and servicing news releases and media alerts.
• Researching and maintaining media coverage reports and media lists.
• Identifying and coordinating speaking and award opportunities.
• Reporting on monthly PR activity and distributing media clips, event speaker.
• submissions and award nominations.
• Contributing to internal planning, messaging and strategies.
• Supporting on-site event execution.

Key Requirements Include:

• Minimum 3 years of public relations experience
• Strong knowledge of the PR field including experience in client communications, media relations, press campaign development, crisis management and execution of creative, strategic and well-thought communications plans.
• Ability to show metric-driven ROI for campaigns using Google Analytics and other data insights.
• Self-starter with superb time management, strong internal / external communication skills and ability to prioritize projects.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly proficient in the Google Suite apps, Muck Rack, Meltwater, Cision, and Google Analytics.
