The VP of Operations plays a pivotal role at the center of our organization, helping to execute on taking products from concept to market. This is a hands-on role where leadership, initiative, and decision- making will make a difference not only within the business, but across the organization. The VP of Operations helps develop, refine and execute our product strategy, manufacturing efficiencies, and team growth with a focus on data-driven decision making. The VP will be a collaborative leader with significant experience of delivering strategic and valuable data-driven insights on current trends and operational results. The role has daily exposure across business units and functional leads as well as requires insight and input to our long-term goals and objectives.
? Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations and ensure a safe, efficient,
productive and positive work environment
? Collaborate with leadership on new product development and execution of
products in the R&D pipeline.
? Create and manage daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules to meet
company sales needs and growth objectives
? Oversee the bulk supply inputs in collaboration with procurement team
? Meet expense and labor goals to ensure profitability
? Develop SOPs to ensure consistent manufacturing practices
? Oversee the successful development and installation of equipment related to
? Maintain and improve vendor sourcing relationships
? Promote employee morale and motivate through positive communication and
proactive problem solving to ensure an efficient and team oriented work
? Develop and maintain KPIs for monitoring operational efficiency of
manufacturing programs and for employees
? Partner with the compliance team to ensure efficient regulatory compliance
for all manufacturing related activities (document records, inventory counts,
? Comply with the State Track and Trace system, manage tested product
? Reconcile and report daily, weekly, and long-term production data to meet
company standards and compliance requirements
? Ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA, and other relevant worker safety
regulations in a manufacturing environment
? Responsible for product quality assurance to ensure consistent quality control
? Collaborate with Downstream Sales & Operations team on weekly transports
and supply schedules to satisfy inventory needs.
? Develop incentive programs to increase production
? Degree in management, engineering, manufacturing, or similar discipline
? 4 + years' hands-on operational experience within a manufacturing environment,
with a minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience.
? Experience in food & beverage manufacturing preferred but not required
? Knowledge of technical, scientific, and regulatory principles related to the cannabis
industry is preferred but not required.
? Proven project and budget management experience with driven financial results
? Experience with facilities oversight including physical infrastructure, maintenance,
employee safety and security
